5. Welcoming Baby Jesus. We make welcome card to welcome Jesus into our world.
6. We know that the shepherds went to visit the new baby in the stable. We created our own nativity scene using our new skills.
7. We learnt about the traditions of the crib. We each take a special travelling crib home over the month of December. We retold the story Christmas Story.

8. We have been learning about advent. We learnt about wreaths and calendars and spoke about all of the preparations needed before Christmas Day. We made our own wreaths.
9. We made advent promises. We are thinking about positive ways in which we can help others during Advent.

10. We retold the story of Jesus’ birth in a nativity performance. We know that Christmas is the time we celebrate Jesus’ birth.

We learnt about the Mary and Holy Rosary We made Rosary bracelets with 10 beads on to help us count our prayers.
God made our beautiful world and everything in it. We went outside to appreciate the world God created. We used our senses and were ‘WOW-ed” by what we saw, felt and heard.

We must look after God’s creation, we are his Stewards. We have a responsibility to look after our environment so today, went litter picking.

We have been learning to say a special prayer.
We’ve know that we are all welcome in God’s family. We spoke about the sacrament of Baptism.
Some of our children chose to write prayer intention cards for family members during continuous provision. They placed the cards on the cross to “Send them to Jesus”
We spent some time in our Prayer Garden. We noticed the fruit on the trees, felt the soft grass and appreciated the world around us.
