21.12.23- We accepted Las Posadas from year 3 into our classroom and looked at the journey Mary and Joseph took to find somewhere to stay in Bethlehem.
The third Sunday of advent- Joy- Gradate Sunday. The children’s prayer and liturgy putting the symbols on the Jesse tree.
15.12.23- A beautiful Christingle service.
Second week of advent- the candle of Peace- the children carried out their prayer and liturgy sessions to the class.
First week of advent- Hope. They children have carried out their own prayer and liturgy time each day for the Jesse Tree
22.11.23- Creating our own advent calendar full of prayers to open each day of advent
22.11.23- Beginning our topic of advent with prayer and liturgy and what advent means to us.
16.11.23- Visit to church and Father Paul to learn about confirmation.
10.11.23- Remembrance prayers
8.11.23- Judaism- creating cards for Bar and Bat mitzvah’s
18.10.23- ‘The call of Samuel’ we had a hot seat and asked Samuel lots of questions about why he was chosen by God.
During October we celebrated the month of the Rosary
02.10.23 - We celebrated Guardian Angels’ feast day by making year 3 angel cards and our own lollipop angel.
28.09.23- creating freeze frames to retell the story of Jacob
20.09.23- Learning the story of Abraham, and researching who else in the Bible said “yes” to God and putting their trust in him.
