Comprising the knowledge we have gained over the last 6 weeks, we have created functioning, futuristic designs, based on the traditional ‘torch’. En’light’ened by an array of different existing modes, the children have excelled in producing torches that are both aesthetic and operative. π¦π‘

Year 4 have been annotating a range of different torch designs currently available on the market. The children took inspiration from such modes, detailing their likes and dislikes, both aesthetic and functional. π¦π‘The children then went on to create their own simple circuits , aiding in allowing the filament to work, arguable the most important aspect within the torch.

utilising our current knowledge of both aesthetic and functional uses of a torch, the children have created their own ‘futuristic designs’, targeted at both a specific target audience and sellers market. The children relayed the importance of shape, size and colour to produce true masterpieces. π¨βοΈπ¦
