Today we started our new book 'The Stone Age Boy' and we made a prediction about what the book is about, we discussed how the book has elements of fiction and non-fiction and then completed some hot-seating. We pretended someone was the boy from the book and asked him questions.
Poetry Week
We looked at performing poetry in English to begin our poetry week. We learnt to use pace, pauses, volume, facial expression and body position to become interesting performers. We were even lucky enough to have a poet in school who helped us write some poems to perform.
