Active Travel, Active Play and Play Leaders

Living Streets - WOW - the walk/hop/skip/cycle to school challenge!
Start the day off the right way...
We are encouraging families to ditch the car when possible and walk, hop, skip or cycle to school! Each day pupils will complete the 'Travel to School' tracker and if they commit to travelling sustainably once a week for a month, a badge will be awarded! There is a different one for each month !

Thank you to the TFGM for funding our new bike shelter! 🚴

Lunchtime Games
Mr Kemp will be organising playtime games alongside our Year 5 Playleaders! If you prefer some quiet time of reflection, please speak to Mrs Shaw or Mrs Leigh who will be happy to arrange space for mindfulness.
Playleaders
We have recruited a dedicated team of Year 5 Play Leaders.
This very exciting role involves organising and modelling how to play games.
The team are responsible to organise equipment tidy away as well as ordering and replenishing resources.
They also ensure children feel happy and safe whilst playing.
These leaders wear a special badge so you can identify them easily.
Active Playtimes
Keep fit everyday!
Phase 1 and Phase 2 of our playground games are now complete with outdoor gym equipment, a trim trail, new games marked out and zones separated by sensory planters. We also have a prayer hut for quiet times of prayer and reflection.

-Enjoyment
-Cooperation
-Opportunities/Inclusive
-Safety
-Instructions
-Responsibility
