Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. Representatives from school have attended Mass and received ashes from Fr Paul. We brought ashes blessed by Fr Paul so that Mr Arthur could lead an Ash Wednesday Service for the whole school.

The ashes, made from palm branches, we received symbolise the dust from which God made us. When the ash is applied to our foreheads, we remember to, 'Turn away from sin and listen to the word of God.'
