Continuing with our multiplication topic, Year 4 have traded their pencils for paintbrushes, creating ‘paint by numbers’ masterpieces. Such artistic activity is testing their multiplication knowledge of both one AND two digit numbers. 🧮🔢🎲
Year 4 are thoroughly enjoying the start of their #Nopensday2024, practising their multiplication skills in the form of fast paced mini games, currently focused upon their 3, 6 and 9 timestables. 🧮🔢🎲
Utilising ‘Frayer models’ to consolidate our learning, year 4 explored the definition, common characteristics and both examples and non examples of our new mathematical topic ‘area’. 🔢📕
Year 4 have excelled in the application of addition with two 4 digit numbers with one exchange. We revised our knowledge of column exchanges in the format of table maths. ➕🔢📕
Revising ‘Rounding’ - Year 4 showcased their increased capability to round a series of 2, 3 and 4 digit numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000 using a range of resources to aid in this. 🔢🧮
