Trip to Diggle Lane Allotment - Apple Pressing Workshop

Friday 9th October 2020

• Children are to wear warm, old clothes, appropriate for gardening and able to withstand our wonderfully unpredictable British weather! No Sunday best please!! 
• Wellies or old trainers and a winter coat please.
• We will leave school at 10am, and pick apples from Diggle Lane Orchard. Lots of muscles will be needed for moving the containers full back to base, so a big breakfast is required please, for energy!
• Lunch will be at school, then we head back over for an afternoon workshop of apple pressing, using a fruit press and a crusher.
• If children bring a water bottle, they can take some of the juice they make to drink!
