At Guardian Angels' we teach music using the 'Charanga Music School Scheme'.

The scheme uses engaging and exciting whiteboard resources to support every lesson.

The children develop musical skills through:

1. Listening and appraising - music from across a range of historical periods, genres, styles and traditions from Renaissance to Motown to Hip Hop!

2. Musical activities - games, singing, playing, improvising and composing

3. Performing

In addition to learning how to play untuned percussion, the children are taught how to play the glockenspiel in years 2 and 4 and the recorder in year 3. The children who already play an instrument can use these during the lessons.
