These are provisional dates and subject to change.  All assemblies will begin at 9.00 am and are in the school hall.

Full governing body meeting – Tuesday 10th November 2009 at 7.45 pm

Finance – Thursday 28th January 2010 at 2.00 pm

After school clubs and activities
Listed below are the clubs available to children this half-term.  For those wishing to take part in the recorder club, recorders will be available to buy from school at £3.00 each.

As we are moving into Autumn, if the weather is poor, parents are asked to ring into school at approximately 2.30 pm to check if outdoor activities are taking place.

Poorly children
If your child is feeling unwell, please do not send them into school.  At this time of year there are lots of tummy bugs, coughs and colds etc around and we want to limit the spread of any germs.

Lost uniform
We have had a number of items that have gone missing in school which have had names in.  When washing your child’s uniform please check to make sure that it does belong to your child.  It may have been picked up and taken home in error.  If you have anything at home that does not belong to your child please return it to school.

We need your views!
Thank you to the parents who attended the meeting on Monday evening.  It was a constructive session with lots of positive ideas, many of which we will be taking forward into the current school year.

Renovations in school
Monday of next week sees the start of some major work around school, including the renovation of the junior toilets.   This work could take up to four weeks.  We would ask for support and patience from children and parents as there will be some disruption to the school day during this time.  It will be well worth it in the end though, as we will have a school which is in tip-top condition.

Feast of Guardian Angels
Own clothes day on Friday 2nd October raised £180.00.  This money will be split between CAFOD and the Good Life Orphanage.  Thank you for your generosity.

Lost any glasses?
This week we have found another pair of children’s glasses in school. These are Star Wars glasses in a Star Wars case.  Please call at the office for more information.

After School Club
A gentle reminder that parents need to pick up a booking form for next term.  Fees are now due. 
There will be a one-off drama workshop on Monday 9th November from 3.15 pm to 4.00 pm, if your child is interested in taking part pop in and see us.

FGAPs – Fashion show
Tickets are still available for the fashion show on Thursday 15th October in school.  Don’t miss out!

Bury FC holiday clubs
Information is available in the office about two holiday clubs being organised by Bury Football Club over half-term.  One is a soccer school and the other is a Halloween Camp.
