Sacramental programme
There will be a meeting for parents tonight on Wednesday 27th January at 7.30 pm and a meeting for children at 10.00 am on Saturday 30th January 2010. Both these meetings are to prepare for the Presentation of the children at the masses during the weekend of 30th and 31st January.

Badminton match
We have our first Badminton match on Thursday 4th February at St Mary’s, Radcliffe at 3.30 pm. Children selected for the team will be notified individually.
Football matches
Friday 29th January – St Margarets v GA (cup match). Kick-off 3.30 pm.
Tuesday 2nd February – GA v CCA. Kick-off 3.30 pm.
Friday 5th February – St Andrew’s, Ramsbottom v GA. Kick-off 3.20 pm.
Indoor cricket competition
There will be an indoor cricket competition at St Gabriel’s on Tuesday 2nd February from 3.45 pm to 6.00 pm. The children involved will be notified individually.
Gymnastics competition
 Congratulations to the Year 1 children who took part in the gymnastics competition on Monday night. They did their routines really well and represented the school beautifully.
FGAPS – Family night out
 Make sure you get your tickets for what is going to be a very exciting event. The snails are already at the starting blocks. Invitations have been sent out already. If you did not receive one please speak to Mrs Cunliffe.
FGAPs meeting
There will be a meeting of FGAPs on Monday 1st February at 8.00 pm in the Ainsworth Arms. Everyone is welcome!
A faux pas!
The date of the Modern Foreign Language workshop to be presented by staff from St Gabriel’s RC High School is Thursday 4th February and not Thursday 28th January as published in the letter issued to Years 3 to 6 yesterday. All the other details will remain the same. Apologies to everyone! We hope you are able to attend.
Fund raiser for the people of Haiti
On Friday 29th January we are holding an own clothes day to raise funds for the CAFOD appeal to assist with the relief effort in Haiti. If you would like your child to take part please send a donation into school. We would recommend a minimum donation of £1.00.
Before and after school childcare provision
We are building up a list of before and after school childcare provision available to our children. We know that there are a number of childcare providers in our community and would be grateful for any up-to-date information that we could pass onto parents who need these facilities. If you have any information please let Mrs Cunliffe have it. Thank you.
After school club
We would ask parents to make sure that fees are paid up-to-date. Also don’t forget to pick up a booking form for next term. |
