As we are moving into Autumn, if the weather is poor, parents are asked to ring into school at approximately 2.30 pm to check if outdoor activities are taking place.
Poorly children
 This week we have had many children off sick with a variety of illnesses. Some parents have been sending their child in to ‘see how they go on’. However all this does is allow the germs to be passed around. If you suspect that your child is feeling unwell, please do not send them into school. Hopefully, we can then get the children back to being fit and healthy again.

Parents’ evening
Letters have gone out this week about parents’ evening. Please make sure that you return your slip to book an appointment.
Renovations in school
 This week the work has started in school and the first part of the project, refurbishment of the junior toilets, is under way. We will keep you up-to-date on progress.
FGAPs
An events organising meeting will be held on Monday 19th October 2009 at 8.00 pm in the Ainsworth Arms. Please come along with your ideas.
After School Club
If your child is booked into After School Club and is off sick, please make sure that you let us know. Booking forms are to be collected for next term and fees are due.
 Don’t forget the drama workshop on Monday 9th November from 3.15 pm to 4.00 pm, if your child is interested in taking part pop in and see us.
FGAPs – Fashion show
We still have some tickets available for the fashion show tonight. If you would like to come along, just pay on the door.
Holiday activities
We have information on a number of activities that are available over half-term. These include football club and a netball camp. We also have some vouchers for tenpin bowling. If you would like more details please speak to Mrs Cunliffe.

Please be aware that school closes at 3.00 pm on Friday 23rd October and re-opens Tuesday 3rd November 2009. |
