PTs – discount price
The uniform supplier has informed us that the price of the showerproof/fleece jackets will be discounted by 10%. To obtain this discount simply take a copy of this newsletter with you to the shop and present it when making a purchase.
Facebook
It appears some of the older children are encouraging each other to communicate via internet chatrooms like MSN and Facebook. Parents need to be aware that these chatrooms are often not as well marshalled as we would hope and present a real and living danger to children if they are unsupervised.
Safe cycling
Please let us know if you are interested in the cycling proficiency scheme that may be offered to KS2 children later in the year.
Tell us what you think
Please make sure that you take time to complete the questionnaire. We would be grateful if you could return them by Friday 13th November 2009.
FGAPs – School calendars
Please note that the closing date for applications and artwork for an advertisement on the calendar is Friday 13th November 2009.
FGAPs – nearly new school uniform
A sale of donated school uniform and PE kit will take place on Friday 20th November from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm in the hall. Lots of bargains!
Book club
The last day for orders is Tuesday 17th November. Items to be sent to Father Christmas should be marked ‘Santa’ on the envelope and then Mrs Cunliffe will arrange to get them to him.
Holidays 2010 – 2011
A list of the holidays for 2010-2011 has been issued to every child today. Please make sure that wherever possible holidays are not taken in term time.
Pantomime time
This year children from Years 1 to 6 will be going to see Cinderella at the Albert Halls in Bolton. The trip is planned for Tuesday 1st December 2009. More information will follow in a letter but we thought we ought to let you know our plans as some parents are thinking about taking their children to a pantomime over the Christmas period.
Play trail
Next week work will begin on installing the play trail on the field.
