Christmas dinner and parties
The Christmas dinner for those children on school meals will be on Thursday 17th December.  The dinner will be covered by the normal weekly cost of school dinners.  Children on sandwiches can bring a ‘special’ packed lunch on this day.  After the Christmas dinner, the children will be playing games and having fun in the afternoon.  Children in the Nursery class will have their fun activities in the morning.

‘Little Red Riding Hood’s Big Night Out’
Ticket sales have gone through the roof!  It’s a complete sell-out for both the evening performances.  Mr Harrison is looking to see if it is possible to release any more tickets.  The problem is space in the hall.  If you have missed out on tickets for the evening performances, please contact Mrs Cunliffe on Friday to see if any more tickets have become available.  We still have free tickets for the dress rehearsal on Tuesday afternoon.

Our Christmas Appeal
Our fund-raising for the Good Life Orphanage is going very well. 

If you would prefer to give a donation instead please put it in an envelope marked ‘Good Life Orphanage’.  Thank you so much for your support.

Science Challenge – Year 5
One of our teams in the Science Challenge at St Gabriel’s came third.  Well done to Ben, Zachary and Cameron.  All the other children involved performed very well too and were a credit to their parents and the school.

FGAPs – Non-uniform day
On Friday 11th December there will be non-uniform day in school.  If you would like your child to take part, please send in a ‘luxury’ item for the Christmas hampers.

Parish Children’s Christmas Party
Tickets are still available for the Parish Children's Christmas party on Monday 21st December 2009, 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.  Tickets are available from Mrs Plumridge and cost just £4.50.

After school club
Parents are asked to make sure that all fees are paid up-to-date before Christmas and that booking forms are in for next term.  Please note that there will be no after school club on Friday 18th December. 

End of term mass
There will be a school mass in church with children from OLOL on Friday 18th December at 9.15 am.  Unfortunately as both schools are full this means we need to get nearly 400 children into the church.  Therefore there will be a likelihood of standing room only.

School choir
Members of the school choir will be going to Elizabeth House to sing for the residents on the morning of Tuesday 15th December.  Letters have been issued to everyone involved.

Happy holidays
Please note that school closes at 2.00 pm on Friday 18th December and re-opens on Monday 4th January 2010.
