8.35 am School opens. Children can sit quietly in class reading and getting ready for the day. It also helps for the day to start promptly.
8.45am - Our register is called.
At the beginning of each day we pray together, offering our work to God, and planning the exciting activities ahead. On Mondays Mr Harrison talks to all the children together. On Fridays parents are welcome to join the children for the Class Assemblies. These begin at 9.00 am and are joyful occasions.
And then it's lesson
time!
Our children are taught by caring and very capable teachers, who celebrate the achievements of every child. There is a broad and balanced curriculum based on the Core and Foundation subjects in the National Curriculum and closely linked to our special outlook of the world as Catholics. Programmes of study and schemes of work provide for the development of learning that gives each child the opportunity to reach his/her potential in Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Music, Technology, Information Technology, Art and Physical Education. Children are taught for approximately 25 hours per week.
If you wish you may read our detailed policies and schemes of work - obtainable from the school office.
As the day draws to a close many children enjoy a wide variety of clubs that the teachers provide including Rounders, Football, Netball, Choir, Art & Craft, R.E. and I.T. clubs.
